Wow! You actually came to this page! It's a good thing, though. It could prevent you from hearing from my lawyer, or worse yet, from a prosecutor.

I run this website for people who are passionately interested in personal and professional development in the area of English listening, speaking and writing skills.

If you use my service called English Conversation 2.0 you are bound by the following Terms of Service:

Terms of Service
All sessions must be purchased in advance and always as a book of either 5, 10, 20 or 30 sessions. In other words, sessions cannot be paid for after they end and cannot be paid for one-at-a-time.

Any re-scheduling or cancellation of sessions requires a minimum of 24 HOURS PRIOR NOTICE given to me (Edward Spek) either through email, phone or text message; otherwise the scheduled call will proceed as planned and the session will count as completed whether you answer my call or not. If my scheduled call is NOT answered by you at the agreed upon contact number and time, I will try again after 5 minutes. If the call is still not answered, I will cease trying and count the session as completed. THIS POLICY IS STRICTLY ENFORCED. NO EXCEPTIONS MADE. ADHERING TO THE AGREED-UPON SCHEDULE IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY, SO ANY UNDUE COMPLAINING OVER MISSED OR LOST SESSIONS WILL RESULT IN YOU BEING REMOVED FROM THE SERVICE, YOUR REMAINING SESSIONS CANCELLED, YOUR REMAINING BALANCE REFUNDED, AND IF NECESSARY YOUR IP ADDRESS BLOCKED.

If you visit my website (EdwardSpek.com), you are legally obligated to the General Terms and Conditions listed below and any other law or regulation that applies to this website, the Internet, the World Wide Web, Spain or the European Union. You shouldn't access or browse the site if you have any problem with that, because once you start you are bound by the following:

General Terms and Conditions

  1. Everything on this website is copyrighted. You cannot use any text, images, audio or video found on this website without my written permission, and it's not likely I'll give you permission anyway.
  2. I try to be accurate on this website (specifically in my blog), although there is no promise or guarantee that my statements are 100% accurate. Don't contact me if there's a problem, because I assume no liability or responsibility for errors or omissions on this website.
  3. I am NOT liable for any damages you may suffer when you use this website. In particular, that includes direct, incidental, consequential, indirect, or punitive damages arising out of your access to, or use of, this website. Without limiting the foregoing, everything on the site is provided to you 'AS IS' WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.
  4. Please note that some jurisdictions may not allow the exclusion of implied warranties, so some of the above exclusions may not apply to you. Check your local laws for any restrictions or limitations regarding the exclusion of implied warranties. In simple language: I'm not responsible if you're browsing around and this website damages you or your computer!

  5. Anything you disclose on this website becomes my property, which means I can do whatever I want with it: reproduce, disclose, transmit, publish, broadcast, and post it someplace else. Furthermore, I can use any ideas, concepts, know-how, or techniques that you post any way I want to, including, developing, manufacturing and marketing products.
  6. Images of people or places shown on the site are either my property or someone else's property that I'm using with their permission.
  7. There are some trademarks, logos and service marks on this website that I am using as a registered affiliate. You will not use these trademarks, logos and service marks elsewhere for your own purposes.
  8. I link to other websites on this website, but I take no responsibility and assume no liability for any content on these other websites that you may find offensive.
  9. I take no responsibility and assume no liability for any mistakes, defamation, libel, slander, omissions, falsehoods, obscenity, pornography, or profanity you might encounter when you visit my website. You will not post or transmit any unlawful, threatening, libelous, defamatory, obscene, scandalous, inflammatory, pornographic, nasty, mean, or profane material or any material that law enforcement authorities may consider a criminal offence, get someone in court on a civil lawsuit, or for that matter violate any law -- anywhere, anytime. While I zealously respect your privacy and protect the information you give me, I have no choice but to fully cooperate with any law enforcement authorities or court that might ask me who might have posted incriminating content on my website.
  10. I have the right to change this page and anything else on this website any time I want to. If I do change this page, then you are bound by those changes too, whenever you visit my website.
  11. If either of us wants to sue, then we must follow these rules of engagement:

This Agreement is governed by the laws of the Province of Andalucia (Spain), without regard to principles of conflict of laws.

To the extent you have in any manner violated or threatened to violate EdwardSpek.com (Silward) and/or its affiliates' intellectual property rights, EdwardSpek.com (Silward) and/or its affiliates may seek injunctive or other appropriate relief in any court in the Province of Andalucia (Spain), and you consent to exclusive jurisdiction and venue in such courts.

Any other disputes will be resolved as follows:

If a dispute arises under this agreement, we agree to first try to resolve it with the help of a mutually agreed-upon mediator in the following location: Seville. Any costs and fees other than attorney fees associated with the mediation will be shared equally by each of us.

If it proves impossible to arrive at a mutually satisfactory solution through mediation, we agree to submit the dispute to binding arbitration at the following location: Seville. Judgment upon the award rendered by the arbitration may be entered in any court with jurisdiction to do so.
