While speaking to Maria M. again on the telephone this evening, I noticed she had trouble answering the question, "How are you feeling?"

A simple question, but how do you answer this fluently in English?

Today was another long, busy day for Maria M., as she returned home from work only 10 minutes before our scheduled telephone conversation session at 9pm!

Maria reported that the weather was cloudy (nublado,-a) in her region of Spain today, but was also able to inform me proudly that she was reading an article in English at work today!

She reads from a publication called Pub Med (www.pubmed.com), which is an online medical journal. The topic of the article was on the growth of twins in human reproduction.

I told Maria that I've noticed an increase in the incidence of twin pregnancies in Spain (but that's my perception, I could be wrong). Does anyone have any statistics on this?

This afternoon I spoke in English on the telephone with Pablo G. at his beach house, which is situated on the southern coast of Spain.

Pablo likes the peace and quiet of this location, as well as the plentiful sunshine, although he doesn't like to swim in the sea!

We talked about the importance of wearing skin protection and a hat while at the beach or during his favourite past-time: playing golf. Pablo joked that he sees lots of people wearing shorts in these places who end up with red legs.

I then discovered that shorts doesn't translate simply into Spanish. To help explain, I found this entry in the dictionary...
